well I wonder what she’d say

Or a broken heart for one of us

It’s been said nothing ventured
well then nothing is gained
but a false step here
could be end of the game
and if that is true
I just think of the cost
what if words spoken now
mean  everything’s lost?

I believe that the heart
has a will of it’s own
and it says to the mind
what it  already knows
and if that is the case
with exuberance young
why must it stay
on the tip of the tongue?

but I wonder what she’d say
