Things To Do

I got so many things that I need to do
Like cleaning up the mess in the living room
Move somethin’ here and movin’ somethin’ there

The leaves on the deck are getting pretty thick

And out in the garden
Things are growin’ like weeds
Maybe it’s because they really are weeds

And lookin’ at the car
It needs to be washed
But maybe it rains
So that is a wash

The lawn should be mowed
The grass how it grows
But I checked on gas and it really is low
And I’d have to go to a station for more
And that to me would be an unpleasant chore

Yeah I got so many things that I need to do
Fixin’ the toaster or buying brand new
But I’ve got a thought for you my dear
