When Santa’s on vacation
Where is it he goes?
I can not imagine
He stays in all that snow
When Santa’s on vacation
Is it far away?
On some tropic island
Where there is water play?
Does he take the elves with him
And what about reindeer?
Would they like it way down south
It’ s really hot down there
Do the elves know how to swim
And here’s a wild thought for you
Can you see old Santa
in a big red bathing suit?
When Santa’s on vacation
What of Mrs. Claus?
Will she take a beach chair
Does she like the sun at all?
And will she take umbrellas
And sit under the shade?
And will she swim with Santa
Or maybe only wade?
Will the elves make castles
In the sand most every day?
Build a little wall and moat
Keep tide and waves away
Do the elves know how to snorkel
Look beneath the blue sea?
Look at little fishies
With their colors bright can be
So on some tropic island
You see a big red sleigh
And a bunch of reindeer
Now this is what you say
Go up to dear ol’ Santa
And tell him this for me
“Just keep the presents coming”
I’ve been really good you see
