Looking At The Stars

Sometimes I wonder when I’m
Looking at the sky
On a starry starry night
Sometimes I wonder when I’m
Looking far away
With you here by my side

What of all these stars
That we behold
And trillions more
We are told
Exist
Yeah so much we can learn
from a telescope
That looks far far away

Sometimes I wonder how it
Sees so many things
From some very long ago
I’m talking seeing things
The way they were back then
Many billion years or so

How could all that be?
Astronomers know
But I’m not one
And so it goes
And here I am
Looking at the stars
Looking at the stars with you

Searching for answers
Where are the answers they seek?
Yeah searching for answers
The universe is so big
Really big
